Cambridge in Colour MPB
The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) is a membership organisation that co-ordinates, activities for photographic Clubs in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland (including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man).
The Royal Photographic Society is a charity which has been leading photography since 1853. Their mission is to promote the highest standards of photography. The RPS offers three levels of Distinctions which set recognised standard of achievement throughout the world: Licentiate (LRPS), Associate (ARPS) and Fellowship (FRPS). Both members and non-members can apply for Distinctions (non- members will need to join The Society if they gain a Distinction).
The BPE exists to encourage photographers to enter exhibitions and to recognize successful entrants via the issue of the Crown Awards photographic distinctions. Exhibition members share ideas, promote each other's exhibitions and generally work together to promote competitive photography.
FIAP’s purpose is the promotion of photographic art in all its aspects and through all kinds of photographic events and worldwide exhibitions. Distinctions range from Artist FIAPA through d3Master FIAPMFIAP Including a range from Bronze through Diamond
The Photographic Society of America (PSA) is a worldwide organization providing a wide range of services that promote photography and benefits to its members. Individual members can participate in competitions, study groups and on-line education programs designed to advance their photographic knowledge and skills. Competitions are held for clubs, councils, federations and chapters. PSA Awards APSA (Associate), FPSA (Fellow), HonPSA (Honorary Membership), HonFPSA (Honorary Fellow)
The prime purpose of the WCPF is to encourage the art and practice of photography directly to members and clubs throughout its catchment area, supporting/liaising with other Federations and the PAGB, ensuring local views and interests feature in national debate. The WCPF organises Exhibitions and Competitions.
CORNWALL PHOTOGRAPHIC ALLIANCE is an organisation whose aims is the promotion of photography in all its aspects, at a level possibly beyond the reach of any individual club. It is in alliance of 14 Cornish Photographic Societies which was formed in 1971 The CPA organises the Charles Hosken and Nature and Wildlife Competition and the CPA competition annually. The CPA often organise speakers of national standing to visit Cornwall to give lectures
APM Awards - Levels The Awards for Photographic Merit (APM) are open only to members of Clubs affiliated to the PAGB through their Federations and are at three levels Credit (CPAGB) – Standard: Good Club Photography Distinction (DPAGB) – Standard: Open Exhibition Photography Master (MPAGB) – Highest Standard of UK Amateur Photography The awards are held for life without any annual fee and holders are entitled to use the designated letters after their name.
